Eunice T. Vancelette age 85 of Oakville, passed away peacefully Wednesday May 28, 2015 at Cook-Willow Convalescent Home in Plymouth. Eunice was born September 8, 1929 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Louis and Minnie (Demske) Vancelette and lived in Waterbury most of her life. She was a graduate of Wilby High School. Eunice was employed as a receptionist at Leogrande’s Music Studio for many years after which she worked for Aljim’s Wholesale Grocers. Eunice was a loving aunt and a kind hearted person and will be dearly missed by her family. She leaves a niece Susan Salvietti and her husband Michael of Oakville, two great nephews Michael and his wife Kerensa Salvietti of Northfield and their children Abby, Vincent and Julian; Brian Salvietti of Shelton, and a neice through marriage Gloria Cowles of Lakewood, CA. She was predeceased by her sister Evelyn (Cowles) Lackey, a nephew Bill Cowles and a great nephew James Salvietti. Eunice’s niece Susan would like to thank the staff at Cook-Willow Convalescent Home for their kindness, care and compassion over the past five years during Eunice’s stay. Funeral will be held on Monday June 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Waterbury.
