Madeline Venturella Pazzani, 82, widow of Mario Pazzani to whom she was married to for 50 years, formerly of Holmes Place in Farmington and St. Mary’s Home, The Mercy Community in West Hartford, passed away peacefully on the evening of July 8. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the 10th of 11 children of Mariano and Francesca Maritelli Venturella of Castle Buono, Sicily. She was a graduate of New Utrecht High School, Brooklyn, NY. Madeline lived in Brooklyn, NY, Queens, NY, Bergenfield, NJ and was a long time resident of Naugatuck, CT where she was a legal secretary and Notary Public for many years, for the firms of Attorneys Donald Zehnder in Naugatuck, for Timothy Moynihan in Waterbury, and for the Uniroyal Corporation. Madeline retired to Dunnellon and Gainesville, Florida in 1992 before returning to Connecticut in 2003. She is survived by her four children, Martin, Michael, John, Irene, a sister-in-law, Annette Pazzani, six grandchildren, Lynn, Karen, Michael, David, Claire, and Madeline, and three daughters-in-law, Coleen, Chris, and Melissa. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Saturday (July 11) from 9:00am – 10:30am. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Saturday at 10:30am followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Patrick, 110 Main St., Farmington at 11:00am.
