Trofimena “Trifie” M. Carlucci, beloved wife of the late Albert Carlucci passed away peacefully on July 9th, 2015 after living a full and wonderful life. She was 97 years old. Trifie was born in New Haven on November 23, 1917 to Thomas and Theresa (Apuzzo) Naclerio. She leaves behind to mourn her passing, her loving daughters Susan Gold (Allan) of Chicago, Illinois and Anne Crieger (the late Frank) of Branford and Yarmouth Port, MA, her adoring granddaughter, Marlene Wolf (Steven) of Wilton, her brother Joseph Naclerio (Sandra) of West Haven and her sister Ann Potenziani of Hamden. Also survived by several step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. Trifie married the love of her life on June 30, 1945. She was a stay at home Mom raising her two daughters. She returned to work in 1963 joining Second National Bank where she worked for over 10 years. Upon retirement she and Albert traveled extensively to Europe, California and spent many winters in Florida. After Albert’s death in 1990 Trifie began volunteering as a “Room Grandmother” at West Haven Elementary schools. She did this for 18 years until she was 88 years old. She will be fondly remembered for her fabulous cooking, especially her homemade pasta, her kindness to others and her generosity. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff at The Mary Wade Home for the kindness, love and compassionate care given to their Mom, while she resided there. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Church at 11:00. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
