Melluzzo, Joseph P.

Joseph P. Melluzzo, 36, of New Britain, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 9th at his home. Born November 20th, 1978 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Vincent S. and Johanne (Charpentier) Melluzzo. Joseph grew up in Farmington and graduated from Farmington High School, Class of 1996. He was an avid Yankees fan who loved to fish. He had a contagious smile and he cared for his family very much. He is survived by his sisters, Nancy L. Melluzzo and her husband Randy Long of Burlington, Laurie A. Finke and her husband Bryan of Beacon Falls, his two brothers, James P. Melluzzo of Burlington, Robert Mastrianni of Wolcott, his grandparents, Vincent S. and Linda (Minotti) Melluzzo of Windsor and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Saturday (Nov. 14) from 9:00-10:30am. Funeral services will be held in The Ahern Funeral Home at 10:30am followed by burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Torrington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.image1

  1. Death is definitely an enemy to us all. I find the scriptures to be a comfort to me. Revelation 21:3,4— 3. With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
