John Samuel Killar

John Samuel Killar passed away on Wednesday, 15 August, 2018. John was born in Syracuse, New York, on 20 November 1955. His mother, Mary Beverly, (nee Bruno) and father, Edward Killar, Sr., are both deceased.
John grew up mostly in the Albany, New York area, attended Harrison College, Arizona State University and graduated from Tyler School of Art. While at Tyler, he had the opportunity to work with Milton Glaser and that was his introduction to model making.
John worked at Skidmore Ownings & Merrill, Hellmuth Obata & Kassebaum, Haines Lundberg Waehler, Kohn Pederson Fox Conway Interior Architects, Anderson Design, Construct Models, and Newman Architects. He loved his chosen career and he excelled at the minute, exacting details required.
John is survived by his wife, Lynne Addison, brothers Ed, Jr. and wife Claire, Bob and wife Tracie, Daniel and husband Andy, Bill and wife Angie, and sister-in-law Maureen, wife of deceased brother Richard. There are three sisters-in-law, Beth and husband Hank, Sue and husband Bob, Lisa and partner, Jason. John was close to his nieces and nephews; Jenna and husband Tim, Myles, Tina and husband Evan, Jessica and husband Brian, Rachel and husband Kyle, Christopher and wife Celeste, Shannon, Stephen, Casper, Ben, Jude, Lily, Christa, Jesse, Christopher, Izaak, and fourteen great nieces and nephews.
