Wanda (Albrycht) Lorenzo, 87, formerly of Southington, CT passed away on September 18, 2018 at Brookdale Spruce Wood Senior Living community in Durham, New Hampshire where she had lived for the past 2 years. She was the wife of the late Angelo Lorenzo.
Wanda was born in the Plantsville section of Southington on May 6, 1931, the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Pernal) Albrycht. She lived in Plantsville her entire life. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Five Star in Plantsville and later by Classic Coil in Bristol. She was a hardworking and determined woman. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, crocheting and playing cards. She also enjoyed travelling and visited sites all along the east coast from Maine to Florida. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Wanda is survived by her 3 grandsons, Michael Lorenzo and Christopher Lorenzo of New Boston, NH, as well as Thomas Lorenzo and his wife Heather of Berwick, ME; daughter-in-law Maria Lorenzo of New Boston, NH and 2 great granddaughters, Kendra Lorenzo and Emily Lorenzo of Berwick, ME. She also leaves her brother John Albrycht of Old Lyme, CT and several nieces and nephews. Wanda was predeceased by her son David Lorenzo, brothers Adolph Albrycht, Stanley Albrycht and sisters Mary Manton, Henrietta Fortouna, Jennie Slamons.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday September 28, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Friday from 9 to 10:30 am the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
